START PROCEDURE OVERVIEW
To ensure safety, fairness, and comfort, Jakarta Running Festival 2025 will apply two types of start systems depending on race category:
- Multi-Wave Start Mode: Runners start in waves based on their assigned corral groups.
- Single Mass Start Mode: All runners start at the same time.
Despite the different start modes, Gun Time will be used as the official timing method for all categories. This means the clock starts at the time of the first gunshot (not when the runner crosses the start line).
Saturday, 25 October 2025
Half marathon: multi-wave start
- The race will start in waves, beginning with the first corral (Gun Start), followed by the next corrals at intervals (signaled by air horn).
- Late arrivals after 04:30 WIB will not be allowed to start or join other race categories and will be marked as DNS (Did Not Start).
Sunday, 26 October 2025
Marathon: single mass start
- All runners will start at the same time, after the Gun Start.
