About this race

It offers the perfect combination of challenge and the enjoyment of running with thousands of other runners. Unlike the full marathon, our half-marathon has a more relaxed cut-off time, providing first-time half-marathoners with a great opportunity to participate.

Eligibility age range: 17 to 90 years old.

Prize terms and conditions

  1. In the OPEN category, participants, both Indonesian citizens and foreigners, are eligible to win this category, proven with an original ID (copies not allowed) such as a National ID card, Student Card, Driving License, PASSPORT, or Temporary Stay Permit (KITAS). 
  2. In the NATIONAL category, only Indonesian citizens can win, proven with an original ID issued by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia.
  3. In the MASTER 40-49 category, only Indonesian citizens aged over 40 years and under 50 years on the race date can win, proven with an original ID issued by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (National ID card or Driving License).
  4. In the MASTER 50+ category, only Indonesian citizens aged over 50 years on the race date can win, proven with an original ID issued by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (National ID card or Driving License).
  5. The winners of each race category are the first three finishers from each category, determined by the fastest finish time counted from the start time (Gun Time) for both male and female participants of each category, which will be finalized through a verification process of data and identity.
  6. The timing of the race participants (time result) is based on the official timing system determined by the organizers.
  7. Potential winners will be asked to show their original ID (National ID card, Student Card, Driving License, PASSPORT, or Temporary Stay Permit) to the verification team for a data verification process with reference to winner determination in points 1, 2, and 3.
  8. Potential winners must hand over their ID (physical and not a photocopy) to the committee when becoming a potential winner within 30 minutes. Failure to do so will authorize the committee to cancel the winning status and disqualify the participant.
  9. If discrepancies are found during the verification and validation process of the potential winner's data, the organizers have the right to cancel the winning status and disqualify the participant.
  10. The organizers have the right to disqualify a participant if they are found to have provided incorrect data and information, or if it is discovered that they have consumed food/drinks/drugs prohibited by law and regulations from the All Indonesia Athletic Association (PASI).
  11. Each participant is only entitled to win in 1 category. If a participant has already won in the main category, then they are not entitled to win in the Master category, and vice versa.
  12. The winner's prize will be awarded once the winner has passed the doping test according to point 10.

According to the regulations of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, prizes are generally considered taxable income, as determined through the tax laws of the Republic of Indonesia. In the case of the JAKARTA RUNNING FESTIVAL 2024, the tax on the prize is borne by each winner of the competition.

  • Foreigners (non-Indonesian citizens): 20%
  • ⁠Indonesian citizens (WNI) with NPWP: 5%
  • ⁠Indonesian citizens (WNI) without NPWP: 6%

Prize money will be disbursed within 14 calendar days* from the event date.

*The prize money for the Marathon Open and Half Marathon Open winners will be distributed once the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) issues the official doping test results.

The final official results and relevant prize money for the Marathon Open and Half Marathon Open will be issued pending the official doping test results from the AIU.
